Book Talk #3

Book Title: Burned

Author: Ellen Hopkins

My rate: Way over 5 stars!

The main character is Pattyn Scarlet Von Stratten, She is a morman. She lives with her family that isn't so morman. Her dad drinks alot, and when he does he beats her mom. Well Pattyn doesn't really like going to church, and all that. She wants to live her life freely. Pattyn goes out to the woods every now, and then to get away from everything. When she is out there she likes to shoot her gun. One day when Pattyn goes to shoot her gun a couple of guys, and one girl drive up to her. She is attracted to one of the guys, but he is the one with the girl. The other guy likes Pattyn. She starts to fall for him, and she starts to hang out with them when she can. She starts to change. Pattyn starts to bend the rules a little bit. She starts to get into a little bit of trouble, and her behavior starts to change. Well her dad ends up sending her to her only aunt's house to live there for the summer. To punish her, or to keep her out of trouble. She ends up liking it down at her aunt's, and falls in love. When she really starts falling in love with this guy named Eathan her summer is almost to the end. Pattyn ends up getting ready to move back, and doesn't want to leave. She is scared her relationship with Eathan will end up like her aunt's relationship with someone special did. Eathan promised her that they will see each other again, and that everything will be ok. He drives her back home without her dad knowing. As she gets there her dad wants to let her know that just because she was gone nothing has changed. She walks in the house, Her dad is drunk, her mom is pregnant, and her sister has bruises all over. She finds out that the bruises are from her dad, because he stopped beating her mom since she was pregnant. The end is for you to find out, because I don't want to ruin it for people reading the book. I recommend the book to everyone!

Book Talk #2

Book Title: Crank
Author: Ellen Hopkins
My rate: Way over 5 stars!

In the beginning of the book the main character in the book is a girl named Kristina, who is very good in school, and has always had good grades. She also lives with her mom because her dad, and mom are split up. In the middle of the book Kristina ends up moving down with her dad for the summer just to see him. She hasn't seen him in years. When she moves down there she ends up meeting this guy named Adam aka Buddy. She falls head over heels for him. At the end of the book she ends up getting into a drug that she normally wouldn't have, with Adam. A drug called Crank. Kristina's dad doesn't give a crap about what she does. He actually does crank with her, and tells her how a few beers would help. When she ends up coming back up to her mom's house she doesn't know what is going to happen because she isn't used to using the drug, and trying to hide it. Also she has another secret she is keeping from her mom.
If you want to know more, read the book. I recommend this book to everyone!!!

*I'm blogging again(:

I am finally finished with the book! Woo-hoo! It actually ends up being a really good book. I finished it, and now I just re-read the first section. I found out alot more than what I did the first time I read it. I would tell anyone to re-read the book if you liked it because you end up finding alot more stuff out that way. Well this is my last blog for the book. ! Thanks for reading!

I like the book that we are reading in class. I didn't really like it at first when we started to read it, just because I didn't. This book is one of those books that you just have to read on to get in to it. I would reffer this to anyone who likes to read those types of books. I Hope you like my review on the book(: Byeeee!

*bLOGGiNG AGAiN ! (:*

The book to me is confusing when you first start reading it, But I still like the book. I really didn't get it when I first read the first section. The second section is easier to understand, and same with the third section. Also the first section bores me to death, but I managed to get through it. I fell asleep the first time I read the book. After wards the book got a little better, and kept me up. Haha. (: Well that is my experience with the book so far. Later..

To me, It gets way more interesting after the second part. That is my opinion. I wouldn't normally choose this book as one of my own for Independent reading, but the more I read it. The more I like it. I suggest if you like to read, Read this book! The main characters are Montag, Beatty, Mildred, Faber, and some other people. I will write more later I gotta go. Byeeee(:

*Blogging again!(:*

When Montag, and Beatty got in an arguement Montag ended up killing Beatty. There were still a couple of other firemen around, So Montag ended up killing them also. Montag ended up having to run away from the site, and go to hide in the forest. While Montag was in the forest he had to try, and help his leg, because his leg was cut open. When Montag was in the forest he heard footsteps, and (dun dun duhh). Read my next blog for more info.
Later for now,

*I'm blogging again(:

In the book, if you read my other blog it tells how Montag burnt his own house down. Well after Montag burnt down his house he ended up killing this mechanical hound dog thingy that sniffs around, and finds where books are. Montag blew the dog up with this flame thrower that he used to burn his house with. The mechanical dog hound burnt into very many pieces. After that Montag ended up getting in to an argument with his boss Beatty. That's it for now.

*KA$EY'S blOG! (:*

Well right now I like the middle section so far, because in my point of view the middle is the turning point. I wasn't expecting the things that happend, but they did. Guy Montag has a stack of books hidden in a garden, but his wife Mildred ended up sending out a fire alarm for her own house, because she didn't want Guy Montag to ruin her life, and the things/people in it. Guy Montag ended up burning his own house down... Read my next blog for more info!

*Kasey's bloggg(:

In our book Fahrenheit 451, It is getting better. The book gets easier to understand as you read on. Guy Montag talks to his boss about the books they burn, and finds something out about them. In the book Guy Montag is trying to understand books, but at the same time is trying to remember he is a fireman. There are a couple main characters, and they all have different personalities. I'll be back soon, -Kasey.

Kasey's Friday Night Blog(:

So far in our book we are reading Fahrenheit 451, It is an ok book. Not personally one of my favorites. We have read the second part of the book. Where a new character comes in. This book is actually banned in some places, or schools. A little summary of the book so far is a man named Montag, He is a fireman who instead of putting out fires, he starts them. They burn places down if there is any acknowledgement of books in any house. If you want to know more, read it! Thanks for reading my blog.
Bye for know, -Kasey.
